Designer of the day: Kay Douglas

I first discovered Kay Douglas in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle magazine when her family home was featured in 2009. Now her beautiful vacation home has been featured as well. She really knows how to incorporate vibrant colours into her interiors without over doing it. I think it is because she blends the bright colours with natural elements like wood, seagrass, linen and leather to soften the space. This lodge is a perfect example of how brilliant her work is. I was also pleased to discover that she has her own blog too.

Comfortable London Retreat

Anyone fancy a holiday in London? Well after checking out Shoreditch House I do. There is so much to do in this hotel that you may not want to leave and sight see at all. It has numerous floors with different entertainment options. Starting with its very own bowling alley, cinema, a few restaurants and bar areas, and a must see roof top garden and pool. Then finally, when you have explored all of this you can visit their day spa then tuck yourself into a nice comfortable bed in one of their gorgeous rooms.

Fashion Spotlight: Ashley Madekwe

To kill time before the baby arrives I have been indulging myself with watching TV series. Sad I know! One of my favorites is a new show called Revenge. Apart from the story line, I also love the fashion. In particular I love how the character Ashley dresses. After looking for some outfits to show you I stumbled across her fashion blog called Ashley Madekwe Ring My Bell. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that like the character she is also dresses superbly in real life. Her blog is a must see.

Wedding Inspiration

Yes I am already happily married and no I don't plan on doing it again any time soon. But a girl can still dream about planning another beautiful wedding. Maybe for someone else this time. I am thinking something sophisticated and romantic. This Black, gold and ivory theme is just devine.

Designer of the day: Trip Haenisch

You have most likely seen Trip Haenisch's work at some point, after all he has been featured in almost every popular design magazine out there. He is also known for working with numerous celebrities such as Courtney Cox. I find his work very comfortable, his interiors are designed to be like a real home rather than a display home. When you look through his portfolio you can also tell that he really listens to what the client wants. None of his spaces have the exact same look. They are tailored to the client and very unique, yet all still have that comfortable feel. No wonder he has been hugely successful and very popular. You can also check out his facebook and Twitter if you want to explore more.
